Angela Hughes, CPA

Machen McChesney welcomes Angela Hughes. Angela is a Senior Accountant and comes to Machen McChesney with over ten years of public accounting experience. Angela specializes in tax planning and preparation for businesses and individuals as well as represents taxpayers before the IRS.

Angela received her Masters in Business Administration and her B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in accounting from Troy University.

Angela lives in Columbus, Ga, with her husband. She enjoys crafting, cooking, reading, listening to music, and spending time with family.

Staff Promotions:

Joe Janning, CPA

Machen McChesney announces the promotion of Joe Janning, CPA to Manager. Joe has been employed with Machen McChesney since 2017. Joe works in the firm’s business tax and auditing services areas. His areas of specialization include accounting and auditing for governmental and nonprofit entities.

Joe received his Master of Business Administration from Auburn University–Montgomery in 2014 and his B.S. in Accounting from Faulkner University in 2012.

Tanner Roberts, CPA

Machen McChesney announces the promotion of Tanner Roberts to Supervisor. Tanner has been employed with Machen McChesney since 2018. Tanner's areas of specialization include accounting & auditing, as well as business tax.

Tanner received his Master of Accountancy in 2015 and his B.S. in Accounting in 2014 from Auburn University.

Emma Farris, CPA

Machen McChesney announces the promotion of Emma Farris to Senior Accountant. Emma has been employed with Machen McChesney since 2018. Emma's primary areas of practice include business taxation and accounting and auditing for governmental entities.

Emma has her B.S. in Accountancy and minors in Economics and Spanish from Auburn University.

Austin Duran, CPA

Machen McChesney announces the promotion of Austin Duran to Senior Accountant. Austin has been employed with Machen McChesney since 2018. Austin's principal areas of practice include business taxation and auditing.

Austin received his Master of Accountancy in 2018 and his B.S. in Accounting in 2017 from Auburn University.

In the Community:

September 5, 2020: Machen McChesney donated auction items for the 12th Annual StoryBook Farm Kentucky Derby Day. The day holds festive hats, bow ties, and colorful clothing, all while raising money to provide Hope on Horseback. Guests can participate in an auction, enjoy food and drinks and explore the farm before watching the 146th Kentucky Derby from Churchill Downs.
